Mr. Willie R. “Sweet Tea” Hamilton

Mr. Willie R. Hamilton, affectionately known as “Sweet Tea,” entered eternal rest on February 12, 2026. Born on September 2, 1948, in Eufaula, Alabama, he was the beloved son of Willie R. and Bessie Hamilton.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great‑grandfather, uncle, and friend, Willie lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He retired from Eastman Kodak after many years of hard work and service. His gentle spirit and warm smile were well known at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as an usher and was cherished by his church family.
Willie was predeceased by his loving wife, Sallie, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership.
He leaves to honor his legacy his devoted daughter, one grandchild, three great‑grandchildren, and a host of adored nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his Friendship Missionary Baptist Church family. All who knew him will remember his generosity, his humor, and the joy he brought into every room.
Willie’s Celebration of Life will be held privately. The family invites you to share messages of love and remembrance below as they honor a man whose presence will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
