Khristian Dominic Thornton, 35, of Rochester, New York, passed away on June 14, 2026.
Born on September 7, 1990, in Rochester, New York, Khristian was the beloved son of Angela Thornton and Linwood Duffy. He was a proud graduate of Edison Career & Technology High School and spent his life building meaningful connections with those around him.
Khristian was known for his peaceful spirit, his ability to bring people together, and a smile that could light up any room. He had a gift for making others feel welcome and valued, and he believed deeply in the importance of family, friendship, and community. His kindness, warmth, and infectious smile will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Of all the relationships he treasured throughout his life, none was more special than the bond he shared with his beloved grandmother, Edith. She was the center of his world and a constant source of love, guidance, and strength. He spoke of her often and cherished every moment they shared together. The values she instilled in him helped shape the compassionate, gentle, and caring man that so many came to know and love.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Vanessa L. Thornton; his cherished children, Tristan Jordan and Soniaa Muñoz; his mother, Angela Thornton; his father, Linwood Duffy; his siblings, Brittany Thornton, Mike Duffy, Maurice Duffy, and Lischele Dennese Duffy; his nephew, Chase Crews; and his nieces, Cherish Thornton, Kennedi Smith, and Makayla Smith. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Though his time with us was far too short, Khristian’s legacy of love, unity, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Dierna Funeral Home in Rochester, New York.
Khristian will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
