Susan Hall – Susan passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on the morning of April 15, 2022. Sue’s courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease now gives way to the abundant happy memories family and friends will cherish of a remarkable life lived, defined by caring, compassion, love, laughs and service to others.
The undisputable pride and joy of Sue’s life was her three children Liz, and twins Lynn and Bill, grandchildren, and family. The daughter of Edmund and Kathryn Lewis, Susan grew up in Newfane, NY. In 1983 Sue and the kids settled in what would become home to them in Hilton, NY where she worked for Perk Development. Eventually she settled in Angelica where she became a fixture in the local community, with a space at the Angelica Main Street Gallery. She took great joy participating in plays with the Angelica Players. Sue was also a past President of the American Legion Post 414, Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered in many other countless ways.
Susan is pre-deceased by her twins Lynn and Bill McKernan, and sister Letitia Turner. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Dustin) Graupman, siblings Quinn Lewis, Jane Prohaska, and Douglas (Lisa) Lewis, daughter-in-law Melissa McKernan, lifelong friend Belinda Goodman and many nieces and nephews. More than anything she loved her time with her grandchildren Lauren, Will and Ella Graupman, and Paige Colley, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
A memorial service in her honor will be held April 29th at 1pm at Hilton United Methodist, 21 West Ave. Hilton, NY 14468
We ask that if anyone is so inclined, they donate time, money, or food to a local food bank in Susan’s memory.
