Kenneth J. Schneiter, 93, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2022.
Predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Carole A. Schneiter. Survived by his daughters Allison
Bockus, Laurie (Jeff) Blake; son Jim (Barb) Schneiter; grandchildren Ryan Bockus, Lindsay Blake
and Kyle Bockus; sister Eileen Walters; sister-in-law Barbara (Darroll) Maul; several nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; and friends, including his good friend Ms. Ray
Redden.
Ken graduated from Webster High School in 1946, attained his B.S. in Business Administration
from the University of Rochester while he worked full time at Rochester Gas & Electric (RG&E)
from 1950 to 1986, mainly in the Employee Relations Department where he headed up
Employment and Corporate Training. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces and spent a year as a
member in the Army of Occupation in Japan in 1947.
Ken enjoyed traveling, watching his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, and keeping
his mind active with reading, crossword puzzles, and trivia. He also became a certified clown
known as “Jingles”, as his sense of humor and love for making people laugh, made him a natural
clown.
Ken will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
The family will have a private service. Interment will be at White Haven Memorial Park.

  1. Worked with Ken at RG&E. He was my first boss in Employee Relations. Taught me a lot — a great guy and a wonderful fellow employee!!

  2. i have fond memories of cousin Ken. Many Christmas Eves spent together with our families. I even remember being a ring bearer at Ken and Carole’s wedding. My condolences to Eileen, Jim, Allison, Laurie and the Schneiter family.
