Tom was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. Always caring for Mom and Dad. Never complaining, just doing. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or listen whenever needed. Always very protective, loyal and caring for his family, especially his siblings. He wanted us all to be safe and happy. A man of few words, expressing them in such a large way! Tom was happy if you were happy. He enjoyed cooking and baking. His lasagna, cakes and brownies were not only delicious, but big like Tom’s heart. We will miss his fluffy pancakes, made for weekend morning visits. Being a perfectionist, Tom worked hard at his book binding. Working more than 40 years perfecting his craft. He began right after high school working for Lawyers Co-operative Publishing Co. until 1998. Tom then began working for and learning more about binding from his mentor and great friend, Tim A lasting friendship cherished by both. Eventually, Tom bought the business and New Ridge Bindery was born. All his work done meticulously and by hand… Anything from restoring old Bibles, binding hymnals for churches and thesis work for college students. His work was a combination of love, respect and skill for his craft. He loved repairing the old, as well as creating the new. Tom loved his family and we loved him dearly. Family holidays, weddings, birthdays and all special occasions were so important to Tom. He never missed one! So now, you are in Heaven, at peace, with Mom and Gram. Reunited with all our loved ones that have gone before. Give them all our love. Take long bicycle rides, watch great movies and root for the Buffalo Bills!

Spirit and Memory
I love you my children
And children of my children,
Always I will love you
When I am gone, still I remain
A wisp of air, a dropping leaf
As the sun shines down
So will my smile, and with the rain
My tears mixed with yours
Forever I walk beside you,
Hear my voice in your ear
Our bond is the blood we share
A history of family,
Love woven into our DNA
So now and after I am gone
Think of me, smile, and embrace
Our souls will meet, we will
Hold hands in our thoughts
We will be joined together
I belong to you, daily
In spirit and memory

So sorry for your loss. Prayers for healing!
Thank you, Elaine you wrote such a beautiful tribute to the most excellent man I was ever privileged to know. Your family was reflected in everything he did. Tommy had the most enormous heart and way of expressing his unique and colorful stories. Tommy, I will miss you until I see you again.
My heart felt condolences to Tom’s family and friends. Whenever I think of Tom, I picture him as a laughing teenager teasing his mom, making her laugh in spite of herself. My love and prayers are with you all.
Dear Elaine and family, please know you have our heartfelt sympathy with the passing of your brother Tom. May you find comfort in your memories of happier days gone by and may God bless you all.
My husband and I knew Tom for many years,. He was our neighbor on Northrup Rd. When we had bad storms and we had alot of clean up and fallen trees , Tom was always there to help us. I am not sure what year it was but Tom began coming to our Super Bowl parties. Even after he moved off of Northrup he continued to come. My husband past in 2004 but I continued a smaller version of the Super Bowl parties. I moved in 2008 and I continued a much smaller version of the Super Bowl parties and Tom came to them also.Last year he was unable to come. It was one of the few he missed. We didn’t see each other but once a year but we always had a special friendship with Tom. We will miss Tom,my sons and daughter in law and myself.. and the few friends that still come on Super Bowl Sunday.
Rest In Peace my friend. Janet Juneau
I visited Tom’s shop often, bringing him a loaf of my homemade bread. He was an artist and took great pride in his work. He once showed me a book he was working on that was signed by Abraham Lincoln. It was more than a task, he knew he was preserving history and even capturing a spirit from the past. This will be his legacy in my mind. Rest In Peace Tom!
