  1. So sorry to hear about Lewis’ passing. We always enjoyed his hospitality and stories when we were in Rochester or Cary.

  2. Lewis Anthony Scutiere

I’m going to stray from the usual uninspiring eulogy to provide insight into Lewis’ unique personality.

Lewis was born 82 years ago, he blinked and before he knew it … it was over.

Lewis crammed alot of life into those four score and two years.

He graduated from Acquinas High School, under the ardent watch of his Mother, Mary and Father, Frank.

Lew studied Latin, among other things, which you know enables one to develop a deep appreciation of language and colorful expression.

Lew was talented. He could remodel a home, play golf at an expert level and had an uncanny knack of catching big fish.

Leading by example, Lew drove the grim reaper away by surviving open heart surgery (twice?) and numerous catherization procedures.

If he’d been a cat, he’d be the one with 21 lives.

Lewis could be relied upon to lend a hand to complete a project, glaze a window pane, repair a leaking faucet. ….

Lew……, Leslie said you neglected to fix the kitchen sink and bedroom window before departing.

Some believe Lewis departed to avoid debating [One more time] the merits of the various 2024 presidential candidates.

He was fed up with politics and politicians…..promises made and not kept.

The life lesson he taught is to endure and survive all perils, despite the odds.

He shall be missed by family and friends, most of all by his wife Leslie.

Godspeed Lewis, may the tee shots be long and the fish biting
