Peacefully on October 16, 2025 at 71. Predeceased by his wife Carol, parents John and Pat and sister Barbara Mannion. He is survived by his sister Linda Bradley, grateful stepchildren David Milles, Karen (David) Johnson and Paul (Tiffany) Milles, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, all of his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

Bruce grew up in Irondequoit and attended West Irondequoit schools before going on to earn his undergraduate degree from Denison University. He later completed his master’s degree at Nazareth College. Bruce dedicated 25 years of his career to teaching in the East Irondequoit School District. One of his greatest joys was being the West Irondequoit girls varsity tennis coach, as well as teaching privately for over 50 years.

Outside of work, Bruce had a passion for gardening and took pride in carefully remodeling his homes. He and his wife Carol enjoyed working side by side in their business, building something meaningful together. Bruce also liked to unwind with an occasional trip to the casino, adding a bit of fun and excitement to his life.

Calling hours will be Friday October 24th, from 2-4pm with a service to follow at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to Hildebrandt Hospice.
