Tomas “Tito” Santiago Rosario

January 5, 2022. Born August 28th, 1933 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Predeceased by his mother, Matilde & father Santiago; sister, Lydia Medina; brother, Santiago Santiago; and sons, Luis, Benito (Benny), Nicolas (Campolo), Angel Luis (Angelo). Survived by his wife, Josefina Rosario; daughters Luz (Lucy) Delgado-Rhodes (James), Myriam Martinez (Hector), Marisol (Mari) Grisby (Michael); sons Thomas (Macho) Santiago (Lisa) and Thomas (Pingili) Saez; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends and family who all loved him dearly. He will forever be in our hearts. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects is welcome Sunday 2-6PM at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd. (near Norton). Family will gather Monday 10-11AM at the Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery. We had a proud Papá. He was proud of his cars, proud to be Puerto Rican, but above all he was proud of his family. He was proud of every achievement we had from the smallest award, graduation, wedding, grand and great grandchild being born, and every driver’s test passed. At every event his eyes filled with tears of pride and we laughed and embraced him thinking, “that’s our papa.” As we celebrate his life we know that he will not be with us to see all we do in the future but we will remember him with every big and small accomplishment we have. And just as he was so proud of us, we carry the same pride for him. We are so proud he was our papá. Survived by her fiancé, Andrew Hintenach III; children Lisa (Jay), Stephanie (Erich), Shawn (Amber), Chris (Samantha); grandchildren Austin, Carlina, Kaelyn, Kaden, Gianna, Aubrianna, Ava, Jacob, Ryleigh, Madison; sisters Bridget and Celeste; and brothers Mike and Patrick. Predeceased by her parents; sisters Robin and Michelle; brother Jay; and other family members and friends. Nancy was a homemaker, reiki master, minister, life coach, B&B inn keeper, and writer. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 8th from 1-4 PM at the VFW Post 8823, 13 County Rt. 45, Hastings, NY 13076.
