Clementina M. “Nina” Schmitt (Pesce)

Our beloved Mother, Clementina (Nina), the 13th child of the late James and Mary Pesce, passed from this life on February 2, 2024 at 98 years of age. Predeceased by her loving husband, Robert and daughter, Gina Reger, she leaves behind her loving children Paula (James Cimino) Schmitt, Lisa (Robert) Songin, and Michael (Catherine) Schmitt, 4 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and another on the way, several nieces and nephews. She will forever be dancing in heaven!

Friends may call Thursday, 4-7 PM at Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Road (near Norton). Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Passed away on January 24, 2024. Predeceased by her husband Tome. Survived by her children Lubo Talevski and Gordana Rock, grandchildren Steven, Alexandra, and Samantha Rock, brother Kole ( Elica) Mitkovski, also numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

She loved spending time gardening. The most important thing in her life was her family.

Joyce M. Norton

Passed away on January 24, 2024 at 91. Predeceased by her beloved husband Philip, daughter Terry Vittore, parents David and Winifred Miller and sister Norma Fox. She is survived by her son Paul (Kyle Bunce) Norton, and daughter Amy (Joe) Lancaster, son-in-law Don Vittore, grandchildren Katy Lancaster, Robin (Anthony) Viscuse, Laura (Jim) Pelow, Mark (Amanda) Vittore, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Born in Wellsville, NY in 1932. Graduated from Wellsville H.S. Worked in the District Attorney’s office for 5 years; was Justice Edward O. Provenzano’s secretary for 13 years.

Calling hours will be Sunday 2/4 from 2-5pm at Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Rd. Private interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville, NY.

Jacqueline Mae (Thitchener) Buckpitt

Born January 24, 1935, passed away peacefully
on January 14, 2024. A loving mother and wife, Jackie is predeceased by her husband
of 60 years, Robert. She is survived by her four children Charles (William), James
(Kimberly), David, and Marjorie. Blessed with seven grandchildren, Michael, Andrew,
Lauren, Lyndsay, Daniel, Timothy, Jessica, their spouses, and 14 great grandchildren,
nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Rochester, she graduated from Franklin High School and
settled in Irondequoit where she devoted her time to raising her family and providing
part-time support to the family boiler business: Buckpitt & Company inc. A cancer
survivor, avid reader, talented crafter and artist, Jackie enjoyed hosting friends and
family while spending summers at their heaven on earth, the family cottage of 55 years
on Wolfe Lake in Canada.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 1pm at
Resurrection Lutheran Church on St. Paul Blvd. in Irondequoit. Private internment. In
lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or
Resurrection Lutheran Church, 3736 St. Paul Blvd., Rochester, 14617

Webster- January 10, 2024. Predeceased by his son Gregg. Survived by his wife Frances, children Mark (Kim) and Charles (Tisa) grandchildren Rachel (James) Dixon, Ashley, Matthew, and Michael Salina, Josh Lombino, Danielle, Charles, Adriana, and Ryan Salina, sister Norma (Gary) Isaacs, loving nieces, nephew, and cousins.
He proudly served in the Navy before dedicating 36 years to the Rochester Fire Dept. retiring as a captain. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, his family was his greatest joy.

Obituary of Judith Borzilleri

Judith Ann Borzilleri

On December 28, 2023, at the age of 77, Judith Borzilleri passed from this life into the loving arms of our Lord. Judy was the daughter of the late Peter and Elda Borzilleri. She is predeceased by her sister Madelyn Chinelly, survived by her four nieces: Cynthia Chinelly (John Dufresne), Melissa Florin, Hiedi Chinelly, Kristine Sisca (Roger). Great niece / nephews: Amanda Altman (Alan), Christopher Florin (Jessica), Tristan Dufresne, Connor Sisca, John-Peter Chinelly. Many dear friends and cousins.

As an administrative assistant at Legal Aid Society of Rochester, Judy was very passionate about her work and was loved by all her coworkers. She had a zest for life, was very giving, and deeply enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her family.

No calling hours. Her funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, January 5th, 10AM at St. Ambrose Church. Interment, Irondequoit Cemetery.

Vivian passed away on December 19th, 2023 at 64. She is survived by her mother Antonina LaDelfa, her children Arthur Pfund and Ashley Paasch, sisters Rita, Michelina, Ann, Lisa and Paulina, and her husband Joseph Viglino.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 13th, 9:30am at St. Theodore’s Church 168 Spencerport Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

He died at age 93 in Pittsford, NY. Ed was born in Spangler, Pa, and raised in a blended family, he was the second youngest of eleven children. He is the last survivor of his siblings. Ed was predeceased by his wife Donna, parents and his ten siblings. Ed is survived by his son Ward, daughter Mary, grandchildren Lindsay Cook (Peter), Laura Blasko (Chris Phillips), great-grandchildren Dylan, Tyler and Rylee Cook, and Josh Thompson.
Ed joined the Army out of high school after putting a roof on his parent’s home. He served in Germany during the Korean War where he learned to drive and after returning home, drove to Rochester, NY where he was hired at Eastman Kodak for his entire working career. He retired in 1989 traveling with Donna to Mexico, Hawaii, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and other European countries. He retired as a Director of Motion Picture and Television.
As an original shareholder, Ed thoroughly enjoyed watching the Rochester Red Wings and was a season ticketholder since 1986. He was also very active in his church, The Church of the Transfiguration, since it started back in 1983. Ed loved movies and after retirement went to up to 220 movies a year.
Ed was awarded a Scientific and Engineering Academy Award in 1981 for a process that he and Rod Ryan created back in the 1960’s. Their innovation allowed studios to process special effects film immediately with an onsite machine instead of sending it out for processing. He was awarded the Oscar by Lloyd Bridges.
Known for his wearing of shorts, Ed would not want you to mourn his death, rather to celebrate his life and unique personality.
Family and friends may join us at The Church of the Transfiguration, 50 W. Bloomfield Rd., Pittsford, NY on Saturday January 6, 2024, 10-11:30 for visitation followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Honor Flight Rochester.

Betty (Seils) Bobcia, born and raised in Irondequoit, NY, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Norman on August 27, 2003, her parents Al and Bertha Seils, and brother Bob Seils. Betty is survived by her son David Bobcia, daughters Deborah (John) Miller, Cheryl (Todd) Sherry, 6 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Betty worked at RIT, JcPenney and Wards Natural Science Center. She loved knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, reading books and spending time with her family and grammar school friends. She was so proud that she was able to raise her own family in the house that she herself grew up in. In her younger years, she loved camping with her brother Bob’s family and traveling out to Albuquerque to visit family to see the hot air balloon show. A private memorial service and interment will be held on Friday, December 29th at the Dierna Funeral Home.
