Angela R. Willis‑Becoats

Angela R. Willis‑Becoats, a devoted woman of God and beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and fiancée, transitioned unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Born on May 4, 1965, in Batesville, Mississippi, Angela was the cherished daughter of Nathaniel Willis and the late Mother Marva Willis‑Cutler. At the age of 12, she moved to Rochester, New York, where she would build a life rooted in faith, service, and love.
Angela accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and served faithfully at The Tabernacle under the leadership of her brother, Apostle Keith Willis. Her commitment to ministry was matched by her dedication to her work at the Center for Disability Rights, where she poured compassion and care into every task.
She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Marva J. Willis‑Cutler; her stepfather Mack Cutler; her stepmother Ethel Trent; her grandparents; her brother, Melvin; her stepbrother, Ron Trent; and her special nephew, Amir Starks.
Angela leaves to cherish her memory her beloved fiancé of 30 years, Nate Davis; her three adored children, LaQuita M. Becoats, Latasha R. Becoats, and Marcus J. Session; and nine treasured grandchildren: Justin Smith, Tyshawn Becoats, Tylek Simmons, Jhy’Asia Jackson, Jamari Becoats, Malaya Session, Miracle Session, Chole Session, and Nevaeh Mizell. She is also survived by her great‑grandson, Tymir Becoats; her father Nathaniel Willis; her sisters Renee Trent‑Grice, Kiyah Trent‑Locke, and Marshanna Willis; her brother Apostle Keith (Pastor Irene) Willis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7th, from 5:00–8:00 PM, with a Musical Concert beginning at 6:30 PM, at Miracle Valley Deliverance Center, 290 North St., Rochester, NY.
A Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, August 8th, at 11:00 AM, at Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 397 North St., Rochester, NY.
Private Interment to be held at a later date.
In honor of Angela’s life, the family kindly requests that attendees wear purple and white.
Angela’s legacy is one of faith, devotion, and unwavering love. Her presence was a blessing, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew her.
