Daisy Lee Lennon
March 16, 1949 – December 17, 2025
Daisy Lee Lennon departed this life peacefully on December 17, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on March 16, 1949, in Kingstree, South Carolina, to Ernestine Rush and Alp Nesmith, Daisy later made Rochester, New York, her home, where she built a life rooted in love, resilience, and generosity.
Daisy was a woman of grace, strength, and boundless compassion. She devoted her life to her family, always placing the needs of others before her own. She found joy in life’s simplest blessings—nourishing others with her cooking, offering heartfelt wisdom, and providing a comforting presence to anyone who needed it. Her kindness was a steady light to all who knew her.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughters, Norma Nesmith and Charlotte Nesmith, and a proud grandmother to Rodre Nesmith and Chardae Nesmith, who brought her immeasurable joy. Daisy also leaves behind her siblings: Margurite Fields, Roy Nesmith, Aaron Nesmith, Wendell Nesmith, Lee Nesmith, Ricky Nesmith, Patricia Palmer, Deborah Palmer, Dannie Palmer, and Jerry Nesmith; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00–11:00 a.m., at Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Road. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Daisy’s legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
