George C. O’Leyar, 82, of Livonia, New York passed away peacefully on February 9 in hospice care surrounded by family. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and after serving in the Army overseas he returned to Rochester, New York where he raised a family and was employed by the Eastman Kodak Company as an Electrical Technician for over 25 years. George is survived by his loving partner of 23 years, Marie Wood; sons, Michael (Stacy) and Stephen (Mary Catherine); grandchildren, Michael Jr., Brittany, Allison, Casey, Caitlin; great grandsons, Oliver and Liam. George enjoyed his family, travel, shopping, cooking, movies, music and especially watching cooking shows. There will be a private family service and private interment at the Bath National Cemetery in Bath, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Kidney Fund (kidneyfund.org) or Catholic Charities Steuben/Livingston (ccsteubenlivingston.org) on behalf of George.
