James A Dengler, 69, of Rochester, NY.

Born on February 21, 1957, he suddenly left this world on Friday, May 22, 2026. Jim grew up in East Irondequoit and attended Eastridge High School. Jim loved boating, golfing, his many dogs, and shooting pool.

He is predeceased by his mother Cecilia, his dearly loved brother Michael “Mick”, and nephew Jesse, who passed away shortly after Jim.

Jim is survived by his beautiful niece Melissa (Justin) Dengler who he talked about and loved very much. He leaves behind his girlfriend Colleen, who Jim loved and enjoyed their time together, especially their summers at Jim’s trailer up in Clayton in the Thousand Islands. Jim had good neighbors who could count on him for a helping hand. He also leaves behind his lifelong friends Mike (Mary Ann) Mirabella & family, Ted (Laurie) Witkowski & family, and Joseph Barranco; many aunts, uncles, and cousins along with many close friends who feel his loss deeply.

Jim was an extremely hard worker. He started out at Parkedge Supermarkets and spent most of his career at Kodak from which he retired. He continued working at Advanced Auto until his passing. Jim will always be remembered as a dedicated hard worker, a best friend to many, and a giving person.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 12-3PM at Dierna Funeral Home.
