James William “Big Jim” Foust

James William Foust, affectionately known as “Big Jim,” passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Jim was welcomed into Heaven by his loving family members and dear friends who passed before him. His legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion lives on in those who survive him.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Mary Foust, and his children: Michelle Marie Richardson (David), Lisa Marie Kirkland (Celvin), and James Kenneth Foust (Charley). He was a proud grandfather to Lia Alexus Drumgoole, Desiree Alissa Richardson, Calise Mariah Kirkland, Asyanna Marie Foust, Celvin James Kirkland, Ayrabella Rose Foust, and James Charles Foust. His love extended to his great-grandchild, Eliana Lerai Others.
Jim is also survived by his brother, Fred Barres (Carolyn), and his sister, Theresa Kiernan (Steve), along with numerous extended family members and lifelong friends who were touched by his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.
Jim’s life was a testament to loyalty, hard work, and unwavering love for his family. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
Calling hours will be held Friday, May 23rd from 5-7PM with a service at 7PM at Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Rd.
