Jeannie Catrice Cammack was born December 17, 1980 in Detroit, Michigan to Regina Robinson and Carnell Turner. She transitioned her earthly life on June 2, 2026.
Jeannie was a student at McFarland Elementary School, Number 7 School, Drew Middle School, and Marshall High School. She went on to earn her associate’s degree. She was a lifelong learner with a curious mind and nurturing spirit. Finding happiness in life’s simple pleasures, she enjoyed tending to her plants and gardens, finding peace and fulfilment in helping things grow and flourish. Her home was a gathering place where family and friends were always welcome. Family fun nights often began at her house, filled with laughter, games, conversation, and togetherness.
Above all, Jeannie loved children. She embraced not only her own children but countless others, caring for them as if they were her own. Her warmth, generosity, and open heart created a sense of belonging for everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Jeannie was employed with The University of Rochester in the Pain Management department.
Predeceased by: her father, Carnell Turner; grandmother, Hattie Cammack; and grandfather, Willie Cammack, Jeannie leaves to cherish her memory: her children: De Andre Vaden, Mia Bell, and Antonio Brown; her mother, Regina Robinson; siblings: Carlos Cammack, Aurelia Cammack, Corey Robinson; aunts: Diane Nixon, Rosetta Boglin, Kay Harris, and Valerie Cammack; uncles: Donald Cammack and John Nixon; beloved cousins: Markisha Nixon, Lawana Nixon, Antione Nixon, Iyanna White, Donna White, Nicholas White, Rodrick Boglin, Dewayne Boglin, Charles Wilson, and Curtis Wilson, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Her service will be held Saturday, June 13th, at 11:30 AM with prior visitation 10 – 11:30AM at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church 111 Clifton St.

My deepest condolences to the family during this difficult time. My prayer is that Kitty’s children find their strength, by holding on to God’s unchanging hand. He said that weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. He also said, Blessed are they that mourn, for they SHALL BE comforted. Jeannie you were such a loving beautiful woman caring, selfless, thoughtful, funny, smart wonderful human being. Thank you for being a part of my life i was truly a lucky man to have you in my life. You welcomed me into your life as well as your home and i always will appreciate you and what you meant to so many people. I can only type this with hurt in my heart that i cannot pick up the phone and call you or see you or have one of our many thoughtful and thought provoking conversations. I’m truly hurt of your loss. I pray for you and your children as they always welcomed me with open arms and are very smart beautiful selfless human beings that took after you in so many wonderful ways. RIH you are truly missed and loved and will always be in all of hearts.
I had the pleasure of working with Jeannie many years with the Department of Neurosurgery. She will be missed . I pray that her family receives the strength and comfort during this difficult time
My deepest condolences to Jeannie’s family. I worked with her mother at Strong, then met Jeannie when I moved to the outpatient setting. Although I didn’t see her very often I could tell that Jeannie was smart, dedicated and caring. She will be missed.
I’m so saddened by this news. I worked with Jeannie, she was a very dedicated and hard working individual who loved her children deeply. My heart goes out to her family.
