Joe passed away on January 13, 2025 at age 69. Predeceased by his parents Vitus and Arline, son Joel and stepson Devin. He is survived by his wife Maureen, son Derek, stepdaughter Renee Kusse, grandson Isaiah Kusse, brothers Bill (Carolyn), Richard (Barbara), and Don (Lin), many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 26th at 1pm at Irondequoit Cemetery followed by a celebration of his life at Bill Gray’s in Sea Breeze.

I miss you Joe.
Maureen, my heart goes out to you. I know that Joe is missed by so many. I was so thankful of his unconditional kindness to so many (and to me). He donated a branch from his son’s tree to me in memory of my son Rick Nelson. That tree grew into the most beautiful symbol of my son’s life. I was forever grateful for Joe’s donation and of his knowledge (I thought) of every subject and if he didn’t know the answer he would be determined to find it.
