Joseph “Mark” Mott, 67, of Webster, New York, passed away on December 10, 2025.
Mark was a hardworking man who never missed a day of work. He valued his privacy and the simple routines of life. He enjoyed cheering for the Buffalo Bills and relaxing with a cold Budweiser.
He is survived by his children, Shannon Rodrigues (Joseph), Danielle Mott (Scott Ernst), and Andrew Mott; his grandchildren: Isabella, Jayden, Brianna, Aubrey, Ryleigh, John, Connor, Joey, and Kayden; and his siblings, Michael, Jeffrey, Judy, Jayne, Jeremy, and Jim. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Jessie Mott.
Mark will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for his kids and grandkids, and the stubbornness that was simply part of who he was. He often said, “Only the good die young.”
Calling hours will be held at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd. (near Norton St.) on Thursday December 18th, from 4-6pm followed by a memorial service.

To Mark’s Family & Friends,
Been quite some time since I last saw Mark. Likely last saw him at a Latecomers game or a poker game before I came out west in 1981.
He was a good guy. Loyal to his friends and always nice to everyone. My condolences to his family.
Our collective family has lost a father, grandfather, cousin, uncle and, most personally to me, a brother. Memories are flooding my heart of our years growing up together and it is difficult to admit he is gone. My children affectionally addressed him as ” Uncle Hagu Head” which always made him laugh (he knew what that meant) and that is the picture I will keep in my mind. See you around campus!
Our collective family has lost a father, grandfather, cousin, uncle and, most personally to me, a brother. I remember like it was yesterday when our Mom came home with a little bundle in January of 1958 and showed me how to change a diaper, pins and all. My kids affectionately called Mark “Uncle Hagu Head”, always making him laugh. (He knew what that meant.) That is the memory I will hold in my heart. Go in peace, your big sister Judy.
My condolences to Mark’s family and friends. I did not know Mark well but he made a lasting impression on me. I had the pleasure of playing softball at Winton and Empire with “Spooky” and he quickly became one of my favorite people. I enjoyed his work ethic, his competitiveness, his humor and his outlook on life.
RIP uncle mark! Dad loved you ~Jeff’s youngest daughter Sarah
