Devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend

Lilia Estersa Vargas, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, transitioned peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the age of 89, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Florencio “Lorenzo” Vargas, her son Enrique “Piti” Vargas, and grandchildren Lily Vargas and Enrique “Kike” Vargas. Lilia is survived by her cherished children, Iris E. (Gerardo) Andujar and Orlando (Lisbet) Vargas; grandchildren Michelle (Luis), Donald (Shenita), Eduardo O. (Francis), Iris L. (José), Liliabeth (Albert O.), Melanie (Carlos) and Oneida (Tyler); great-grandchildren Elide, Chanel, Sky, Jaylanie, Gia, Eduardo A., Antonio, Giorgio, Mireille, Nayeli, Delano, Sophia, Emiliani, Albert A., Alina, Ezequiel, Eddiel, Ethan, Ezrael, and Erialys; and a great-great-grandchildren Nyla & Camila. She was also survived by four brothers, two sisters, many nieces and nephews, and a large family in Christ.

Calling hours will be held Friday October 25th at First Spanish Christian Church 8 Ernst St. Rochester, NY from 3-8pm. Her Funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday October 26th at 10am followed by interment at Riverside Cemetery.
