Mother Margie Lee Wilson, age 78, transitioned peacefully on December 23, 2025. Born on June 17, 1947, in Cuthbert, Georgia, she lived a life marked by faith, strength, and unwavering love for her family and community. Mother Wilson was known for her gentle spirit, her wisdom, and the steadfast devotion she poured into everyone blessed to know her.
She is predeceased by her parents and her beloved son, Henry Wilson.
Left to honor and cherish her legacy are her six children: Patricia Barber‑Cadet, Wilbert Wilson, Jr., Thomas (Pastor Theia) Wilson, Sr., Jeffery Wilson, Andrew Wilson, and Shamika Wilson. She was the proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 15 great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. She is also survived by three brothers, six sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 2nd at Noon (Visitation from 10:00 AM to Noon) at The Breath of Life SDA Church, 1410 Clifford Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Mother Wilson’s life was a testament to faith, resilience, and love. Her legacy lives on in the many hearts she touched.
