Passed away on February 1, 2025, at age 82.
Predeceased by his 4 brothers.
Miguel Angel Cordero Sr. was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on May 2, 1942, to Julio Cordero Rivera and Ana Maria Caraballo Negron. Miguel moved to Rochester, NY at the age of 19. Shortly thereafter, at the age of 21, he married Lydia Claudio. Miguel was a dedicated employee of Rochester Products for over 30 years, retiring in 2013.
Beyond his career, Miguel cherished his time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lydia (Claudio) Cordero; his daughter, Migdalia Cordero; his son Miguel (Nancy) Cordero Jr.; seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Miguel will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 4th, from 11AM-1PM at Dierna Funeral Home. His funeral service will take place at 1PM at the funeral home followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
