In Loving Memory of Morgan Gerry Herlan
January 31, 2026 – June 1, 2026
With hearts broken beyond words, we announce the sudden passing of our precious baby, Morgan, who left this world on June 1, 2026, at just four months old.
Though he was with us for only a short time, Morgan filled our lives with immeasurable love, joy, and hope. His sweet smile, bright eyes, tiny hands, and gentle spirit brought happiness to everyone fortunate enough to know and love him. Every cuddle, every coo, and every moment shared will forever remain treasured in our hearts.
Morgan was deeply loved by his parents, Jacob and Rachel; several grandparents, great grandparents many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who eagerly welcomed him into their lives. Though his time here was brief, the love he inspired is eternal.
While we struggle to understand why such a precious life was taken so soon, we find comfort in knowing that Morgan knew only love during every moment of his life. He will always be remembered as a beautiful blessing whose memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
A visitation and celebration of Morgan’s life will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 4pm-7pm at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd Rochester NY 14609.

Jacob, Rachel, Jackie Kirby and all. This grieves my heart so. I understand what you are going thru and where you are in the grieving process. My own daughter passed 19 years ago at the age of 21 years 2 days. From experience I can tell you, this is a hurt that never really leaves you. Time changes it but never quite heals it. He wasn’t here long enough to have a favorite hobby, favorite color, but I am sure he had some definite likes and dislikes and a way to express the difference. Speak of him often, yes, you will shed tears talking about him, until you notice one day.- you do not. Smile at his memory, go on living and someday you will laugh again.

After meeting him when you brought him to work and seeing the joy, pride and happiness in both of your faces I know how much he was loved and will be deeply missed by both of you. I pray you find peace knowing he will always be with you in your hearts and thoughts. I know someday, the tears in your eyes, the grief on you faces and the pain in your heart will eventually turn into a twinkle in your eyes, a loving smile on your face and a happiness in your heart when you think of and share memories of your Angel Morgan!
