Obituary of Paul Croney

Paul “Cookie” D. Croney
April 17, 1949 – December 6, 2025

Paul D. Croney, affectionately known as “Cookie,” passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at the age of 76. He is predeceased by his beloved parents and two siblings.

Cookie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through his family. He is survived by his two cherished sons, Paul A. (Shynta) Gaines and Michael Rollins; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. His family extends heartfelt gratitude to his nephew, Tony Bussey, for the care and compassion he showed to Cookie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Dierna Funeral Home, with prior visitation from 2:00–4:00 PM. Interment will be private.

Cookie will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
