Today, we celebrate the life of Richard Lee Hill, a true free spirit whose
joy, laughter, and love filled every space he entered. Known for a fun-
loving heart and a song always ready to be sung, Richard had a way of
turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. Music flowed
naturally through their life, whether humming a favorite tune, singing with
passion, or simply using song to bring people together.
Family was the center of Richard’s world. He found the greatest happiness
in shared meals, laughter-filled gatherings, and time spent creating
memories with the people he loved most with a beer in hand. His presence
brought warmth, comfort, and an undeniable sense of joy that will forever
be remembered. Best remember for having a beer in hand while telling
stories and dancing.
Though we grieve his passing, today is about honoring the beautiful spirit
he shared so freely. Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter,
music, and connection—a reminder to live fully, love deeply, and never
miss an opportunity to celebrate life.
Richard assisted his favorite Uncle, Jack Lee, in developing a Dry
Cleaning business in Rochester. He served in the army and was stationed
in Germany. To us, he was more than just a father, grandfather, great-
grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a source of love, wisdom,
and strength His laughter, his stories, and presence will be remembered
forever.
Preceding his death was his Parents Father, Richard A. Hill & Mother,
Lela M. Moore; Son, Jason, Sister, Teressa Shepard, Grandmother, Lillie
M. McDowell, and other family members. He is survived by his wife
Arlene Hill; Children Oz, Serina, Jermaine, Tishia, Lela. His sister
