ROCHESTER, NY — Robert Brian Holland,68, passed away on May 3, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved. He was born on August 10, 1957, to Jack and Lorraine Holland,
Bob was a man who understood the value of a job well done and a life well-lived. A master of the millwork finishing industry, Bob was respected for his meticulous eye and unwavering dedication to his craft. That same precision and care defined his personal life; he was the first person family and friends called when they needed a helping hand, and he never failed to show up with a steady hand and a kind heart.
Bob’s truest joys were catching the wind on his motorcycle with his wife, Laurie, by his side, or camping and boating with his family and friends. He was always most at home under the open sky.
Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Lorraine Holland. He is survived by his beloved wife, Laurie Holland; his children, Andra Schwenger and James Holland; and his cherished granddaughter, Emilee Schwenger. He also leaves behind his siblings, David Holland, Patty Parchomenko, and Rhonda Holland and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life: A service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 7th, at Calvary Assembly Church (3429 Chili Ave, Rochester, NY 14624). A reception will follow immediately after the service to continue the celebration of Bob’s legacy and sharing the stories he loved.

So sorry about your grandfather, Emilee. We’ll be thinking of you tomorrow, but unfortunately we are unable to attend his service.
I hope everything goes well.

To the Holland Family, Wishing you love and comfort in your time of grief. Many years ago, I worked with Bob at the Hardwood House. We had lots of laughs and told stories to pass the time. To this day, I am still friends with many others that we worked with. Such great times we had. Just recently, my friend Randy told me of Bob’s health issue. As a matter of fact, I spoke with Randy just a few minutes ago. I called because I needed some advice on spraying varnish on some hickory cabinets that I built. We talked about old times and he told me that Bob had just passed. While we were talking, I discovered that the celebration of life was today at 4:00. Regrettably, I wish I had known, as I would have made time to be there with you. Nonetheless, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Warmest Regards,
John Barnes

Bob was a true gem to take care of and a man with great kindness and love for his family. Honored to have met him, even if for a short period of time. Thinking of you guys during this difficult time
