
Irondequoit — Rose Marie De Sanctis passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2026, at the age of 92.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert De Sanctis; her parents, Anthony and Rose Amoroso; and her eight siblings.
Rose Marie was a devoted and loving mother to her five children: Mark (Kay), Tony, Paul (Teresa), Francine, and Rochelle (Tom). She was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
For many years, Rose Marie dedicated herself as a stay-at-home mother, later continuing her service to others through her work with the Monroe County Health Department.
She loved dancing alongside her husband and found her greatest happiness in time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose Marie was a Eucharistic Minister for several years. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and reading, and in her later years discovered a special passion for collecting antique dolls.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 30, from 3-7 PM. at Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Road.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31, at 10 AM at Peace of Christ Parish, St. Ambrose Church
