On the morning of May 12th , 2026, Shirley M. Sayre, 93, passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Donald Sayre; her brothers, Albert Frenzel,
Jr. and Richard Frenzel; and her parents, Albert Frenzel, Sr. and Harriet Frenzel.
Shirley, a loving, dedicated mother and grandmother, is survived by her children, Kerie Williams and Susan (Bob) Klick; and her five grandchildren: Joseph (Katie Harris) Sayre, Shawn Williams, Tanner (Lexi Ford) Williams, Hannah Williams, and Jenna Williams and special sister-in-law, Rosemary Frenzel.
Shirley was an avid reader. She loved completing puzzles and she loved cats. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society of Rochester, in which she forged many beautiful friendships.
No prior calling. Family and friends are invited to Shirley’s Memorial Mass on Saturday, May 23rd , 10am, at St. Monica Church, 831 Genesee Street, Rochester. Following the service, Shirley will be laid to rest at Mendon Cemetery, 38 Mendon Ionia Road, Mendon.
