Stephen “Steve” Stephany
July 10, 2026 at age 73 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his daughter Jennifer, mother Pearl “Dolly” Dintruff, and father Milton Stephany, survived by his beloved Linda Fama, grandchildren Janelle, Amelia, Sammy and Mariah, great grandchildren Paxton and Jameson, siblings Michelle List, Bruce and Beth, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Steve was a dedicated employee of Wegmans for 22 years, where he built lasting friendships and was well respected.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Wilmot Cancer Center and the care staff at Shepherd Home.
A celebration of life is planned for Thursday July 16th from 12-3pm at the Irondequoit Bay Fish & Game Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to lollypop Farm or The Shepherd Home in Penfield.

My dear sweet friend. I was so blessed to have been able to find you on Facebook. I am so glad that you found Linda and were able to find peace and comfort in our Lord after the trials you faced. Oldsmar was a lifetime ago and I will cherish the memories of tutoring Jennifer and listening to you play guitar and sing on the bay. Rest easy my friend. I’ll see you in paradise.

Steve was my florida friend for years after I came from new yawk! We loved church, music, and sports. Miss him forever. Love ya brother!
Steve was instrumental in the building, relocation and startup of many systems at PHUMC. He touched many lives during this time. Love you man.

Steve was a great guy! Always willing to lend a hand and help others. We shared the same birthday, he used to say he was my brother from another mother. Jody and I send our condolences from Florida.
Steve was a very sweet and kind friend. The last time I saw him, he shared waterski photos with me and wonderful memories of the Aqua Snow Skier days. He absolutely loved and adored Linda. They were perfect together. RIP my friend.

How sad I am that my favorite cousin has passed and that I couldn’t be there. Growing up, Steve was like a brother. He, my sister Carla, and I were the Three Musketeers. He was so much fun, and we all loved each other. Though we haven’t seen much of each other over the years, I will miss him, his big laugh, his music, and how he loved to entertain and share. A masterpiece of a man.
We were “Bay Rats” our whole lives.
Growing up with the most colorful crew of “Aqua Snow Skiers”.
Steven and I share a love of classic Pop music from the late 60s and early 70s.
His gift to me in his passing was his Martin guitar, which will reside down in our house on the bay,
and will always be a part of the Legacy. The Music will be our memories.
