Teresa “Terry” Cicotte
August 23, 2026 at 89. Predeceased by her husband John R. Cicotte, son Richard M. Nelson, daughter in law Norma A. Nelson and nephew Vito Calzone Jr. She is survived by her sons Rob Nelson (Melanie Gallo) and Rick Cicotte, grandson Paul Nelson (Sara DiFrancesca), great grandsons Nicholas and Brady Nelson, her beloved stepchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
She enjoyed many social activities including dominos and A Time Out For Women. She loved music and dancing to jazz and blues and rooting for her Buffalo Bills.
Terry enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an office administrator for various companies throughout Rochester. Her strong work ethic, attention to details and dedication kept her working well into her later years, retiring at the age of 86.
When she wasn’t working, she was volunteering for organizations such as Veterans Outreach, Honor Flight, Animal Rescue and Fairy Godmothers.
Calling hours will be Friday August 28th from 4-8pm at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 29th at 11:30am at Dierna Funeral Home, followed by interment at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Veterans Outreach Center 447 South Ave Rochester, NY 14620

From beloved stepchild #6… Rob & Paul and family, so sorry for your loss, and to my brother Rick, I’m very sorry for your loss as well. I know having Terry as a mother figure all through your teen years helped shape you. That is something not to take lightly. I know you will all miss her. I pray for God’s peace to take over the areas in your heart where grief now resides. Let the Lord be your strength through the hard days ahead. Terry was a great advocate not only for her brother, Pat aka
“Mr. C” at St. John’s Home, but for other residents as well.
She was always willing to help others and I admired her for such unconditional support!
Terry, I am devastated by your loss. We were best friends for over 50 years. Who knew when we met at
Burroughs that we would become lifelong friends. Over those years we have seen many good times and sad times..We have always been there for each other. I can’t imagine not being able to hear your voice again when I call to tell you about the latest development in our lives. I will miss our lunches at.Patti’s Pantry. I am so glad you were people to come to Florida and stay with us at our new place. I will cherish those memories, forever. I knew the day would come when I would have to say goodbye to you, but I was not ready for this. I will forever cherish our memories and look forward to the signs you will be sending me. ❤️

I first met Terry Cicotte when my family relocated to Rochester, NY in 1977. This was a job transfer from California within Burroughs Corporation. Terry was the secretary for my new boss in the Financial Analysis Department. She was an amazing secretary/administrative assistant over the 8 years that we worked together. Her attention to detail with all of her assignments was outstanding. Terry took great care of my wife Myla, when I went out of town on business trips. Terry kept her informed of where I could be reached in case Myla needed to contact me. Terry loved our 4 children.
We left Rochester after 8 years in another Burroughs Corporation job transfer in 1985. Terry was the only former Burroughs employee that I have kept in touch with since 1985. We texted and phoned each other once or twice a year, every year! We visited Terry on vacation road trips twice since 1985 (2004 and 2015). We made sure to stop and see our beloved friend.
We will miss you Terry! We love you! Rest in the peace of the Lord Jesus. You certainly deserve it.

I first met Terry Cicotte in 1977 when my family moved to Rochester, NY in an in-company transfer with Burroughs Corporation from California. Terry was the secretary for my new boss in the Financial Analysis Department. Terry was an amazing administrative assistant who did exceptional detailed work on all of her assignments. She took wonderful care of me and my wife Myla, and she loved our 4 children (3 born in Rochester). After 8 years in Rochester we moved back to California in another company transfer.
Terry is the only former Burroughs employee that we have kept in touch with over the last 41 years. We visited her twice on vacation road trips (2004 and 2015). We have texted/phoned each other several times a year, every year!
We love you and will miss you Terry! Rest in the peace of our Lord Jesus. You certainly deserve it.
