We were so sorry we could not attend the services for your mother. Due to my current circumstances, we were unable to attend. However, just know we think of her so often as we knew each other since college days. She was always a wonderful friend and will be missed so very much. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers. So very sorry for your loss.

We missed your mom yesterday at the mass for the deceased at the cemetery. We did go to see her and your brother before mass and will continue to do so each month. Your mom had my sister-in-law, Eleanor and I over for brunch before the pandemic and we had a wonderful time. She was a special lady and made a deep impression on all she met. If you can make it, mass is the third Saturday of each month from 8:30-9:30 am. Our sincere condolences.
I befriended Kati many years ago when we were teamed to work together at RCSD. She was genuine, hard working and compassionate. If you were a student of Kati's, you were cared for. If you were friends with Kati, you were a friend for life. She loved her family deeply. She will be missed. My sincere condolences for your loss David.
I taught with Kati in RCSD. She was so dedicated to her students! I remember her asking for fabric and yarn and other items for her projects. Budgets were always minimum but she made the best of it. Her special ed kids did some amazing projects. I remember when we transited into different schools she landed in the school on Barrington St. She and her students were relegated to the basement. They couldn't eat lunch with the general population. Kati changed that. Her students were not second rate! She made the world a better place. Laurie Ditzel
